Being present on professional social networks like LinkedIn has become essential for job
search today.

Social networks serve as a platform for recruiters. At Asia HR, our recruitment consultants

Therefore, it is very important to update your profile and refresh it regularly to make yourself
visible from recruiters.

In addition, social networks give you the possibility to get in touch with other professionals
in the same area of expertise who have extensive experience or provide employment services.

You can establish contacts with potential recruiters in different ways by contacting them
directly or drop them an email or use a connection to be introduce directly. Before any
interview, we strongly recommend you to look after the presentation of your profile:

  • Put a professional photo (avoid holiday photos!) And prefer a sober outfit and a smile,
  • Look after your job title and resume: the recruiter must be able to understand in a few

    supervisors, they are the best people to increase your profile,

For example, “non-professional” social networks like Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, are
more difficult to use for job search. You can use it to identify job offers published by certain
recruitment groups or by large companies. However, be careful not to make visible on your
profile photos and publications that can affect your professional image.

For your recommendation, don’t forget to any political opinions in your social media, to see
you in a swimsuit during your last vacation or even drunk in the wild party.

It is important to separate professional life from personal life, even if you have 2 Facebook or
Twitter profiles: a personal profile and a professional profile.

used to show which styles you’re sensitive to, but again, make sure you only make visible
what you want to make visible, using confidentiality of your account.
