Tool Manager Thailand

Tool Manager would be the central point of contact for project services at a customer’s various production sites within Thailand. Candidate’s main tasks are the coordination of technical optimization measures and activities as well as the coordination of the fulfilment of contractual obligations and savings within Tool Management.

Main Responsibilities

• Planning of the tool demand for the customer based on customer Forecasts and historical tool consumption data under consideration of delivery times etc.
• Procurement of the tools in a right balance between stock availability and capital efficiency
• Loading of the tools in the appropriate storage units.
• Follow-up of tool life and triggering of appropriate countermeasures
• Follow-up of al contractual obligations and enforcement of their execution
• Continuous communication with the Walter Sales Team to exchange information about cost drivers, replacement potentials and activities as well as customer developments.
• Regular communication to the customer about performed optimizations, current activities and planned actions.

• University degree in Supply Chain, Production Management, Organization or comparable
• Technical knowledge of cutting tools is an advantage
• Able to understand tool planning and procurement process.
• Understanding of Production Processes and the corresponding sub-processes.
• Reliable and independent working style with the ambition to deliver highest working and quality standards.
• Focus on delivery results and continuous optimization of processes.
• Experience in IT system such as Office 365, Microsoft office, SAP
• Presentable and confident self-presentation
• Fluent in English
• Technical knowledge of cutting tools are an advantage
• Candidate must have the legal right to live and work in Thailand.
• Candidate must be able to communicate with the customer in Thailand.
• Will be an advantage if candidate possess valid driving license and own transport.
