Job Description

This role is a combination of business development and project management. Managing a team and responsible for all aspects of device buyback & trade-in programs. Your primary tasks will be starting from developing device buyback contracts, acquiring new business partners, programs deployment at partners’ retail stores, provide device trade-in SOP training to retail staffs, managing day-to-day operations, drive trade-in numbers at partners’ retail stores to achieve targets, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the device buyback & trade-in programs and the performance at retail stores throughout the region.
  • Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact between internal business unit and external business partners. Act as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop and deploy device buyback programs at partners’ retail stores.
  • Participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting the buyback strategies.
  • Work closely with the retail staffs by communicating relevant information such as but not limited to program mechanics, promotions, technology and operational update in order to drive the device buyback business.
  • Provide training to retail staffs for trade-in SOP using our mobile app – SmartExchange, in order to facilitate walk-in customers who inquire for trade-in services.
  • Resolve any billing issues by confirming promotions and rebates are processed correctly, assist with buyback facilitation of devices.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to retail staffs for device grading and pricing upon accepting trade-in devices from walk-in customers.
  • Compile complaints and revert to management for program improvement.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to plan, develop and execute effective marketing campaigns such as content development and management across the company websites and social media platforms, digital marketing campaigns, offline campaigns, seasonal promotions, etc.
  • Other ad-hoc projects assigned by the management.
Qualification Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in project management is required for this position, preferably in device buyback programs/projects.
  • Candidates coming from telcos and consumer electronic company is highly preferred especially with experience in retail management, new product launching, promoters management, P&L management, etc.
  • Passionate and result driven.
  • Excellent communication in both spoken and writing English is a must.
  • Notable subject matter expertise and credibility with stakeholders in the provider sector as it pertains to business issues, market trends, etc.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to hire, train, and motivate team members.
