Nurse Manager/ Country Nurse

The Primary Purpose:

The primary objective of this position is to ensure delivering efficient and high-quality service in support of Peritoneal Dialysis products that maximize patient outcomes, reinforce sales messages with the customer, and grow market share within a team framework.Working closely with the healthcare providers, interface and support to the sales/technical team, healthcare professionals, and the community (patients and family), a field-based position will require a dedicated professional individual to compile and deliver effective training /education /theoretical study days and clinically based teaching sessions. The role will also involve promotional support to new and prospective users of the equipment. Other responsibilities are to keep updated the with latest therapy developments, and clinical papers, and be able to critique and present findings both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities;

• Key focus on achieving customers’ knowledge of products.
• Monitors the training, follows up care, and supply utilization of the home training program.

• Responsible for the coordination and provision of Peritoneal dialysis clinical educational programs (generally train-the-trainer-based programs, hospital-based patients, and home care projects) primarily targeted at the following key stakeholder groups:

• Clinical Nurses
• Services Business employees / Unit Managers
• Other internal employees
• Other external key stakeholders (e.g. doctors, nurses in customers’ organizations)

• Participates in the development and implementation of the patient’s short- and long-term plan of care and monthly progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure key stakeholder groups have the competency, confidence, and framework to deliver clinical knowledge and education to customers/patients.
• Evaluate clinical competencies of employees and clinical staff within the Services business, ensuring the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
• Encourage and promote a professional focus and a conducive environment to adult learning and clinical best practice.
• Monitors the conduct of clinical trials relating to the products of the company in close coordination with the Medical Direction.
• Identify customer needs and provide appropriate clinical advice and education through liaison with key partners within the group and external partners.
• Implements clinical program philosophy, objectives, standards, policies, procedures, and program practices as per company direction.
• Maintains professional relationships with key government agencies, hospitals, doctors, and nurses.
• Assist in collecting competitive intelligence and report back to marketing.
• Participate in company / unit expansion activities as required.
• Actively take on other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

• Diploma in Nursing
• Degree, Dialysis Nursing qualification (renal post basic) is added advantage.
• Satisfactory computer skills and proficiency in MS word and outlook required.
• Highly motivated and interpersonal skills, results-oriented, articulate, and confident (particularly in a multi-culture environment).
• Maintain self-initiative, and reliability, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Sensitivity to working with culturally diverse populations.
• Maintain positive work relationships in a respectful and collaborative manner
• Valid Nursing certificate
• Valid Driving license
